Miguel Ángel Suárez López visited the ��ɫ��Ƶ Language Centre as part of his Erasmus+ exchange. He has shared a reflection with us about his time teaching and observing classes. It was a pleasure to have Miguel with us and the students thoroughly enjoyed his classes!

My time at the Language Centre of the ��ɫ��Ƶ was a truly enriching experience, both professionally and personally. From the very beginning, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and supportive, patiently guiding me through lesson planning, sharing their teaching materials, and inviting me to take part in a wide range of activities—from Applied Linguistics seminars to English classes at different levels. Working with students from countries such as Burundi, Ukraine, France, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Turkey was one of the highlights of my stay, as it allowed me to experience firsthand the Language Centre’s vibrant international spirit and to refine my own intercultural communication skills.

Being able to co-teach, observe classes across different levels, and exchange ideas about methodology helped me reflect deeply on my own practice and find new ways of supporting learners and integrating authentic materials in the lessons.

I also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the campus environment, so different from my own city, and I made full use of its outstanding facilities. I felt I had everything I needed at my disposal which made teaching and collaborating effortless. Also, the students were consistently respectful and engaged. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate, learn and grow within such a welcoming environment, and I will always look back on this visit with great fondness and appreciation.
