Tomás Heneghan was one of 4 UL alumni honoured at the 2025 UL Alumni Awards on Friday night (26th Sept) . Tomás was chosen due to his work in leading landmark legal challenges that reshaped Irish public policy - in particular the ban on blood donations from gay men and the Supreme Court challenge that resulted in Seanad votes for all graduates. Tomás is pictured with Prof Laura Cahillane who acted as expert witness in the case. The School of Law is delighted to see Tomás's efforts being recognised.
