On November 5, Dr Erika Marcet (Japanese Section, MLAL) was invited to an exclusive event at PwC in Dublin organised by the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC), represented by Dominic Keogh and Mary Honohan, in collaboration with the Japan Business Society in Ireland (JBS). The evening began with a drinks reception, followed by dinner, and concluded with an engaging panel discussion and Q&A session. Coinciding with the upcoming Ireland vs Japan match in the 2025 Autumn Nations Series at the Aviva Stadium on November 8, the event brought together a panel including with Eddie Keane (Japan Head Rugby Coach), Phil Davis (World's Rugby Director of Rugby) and Mark Egan (Board Director at the Japan Rugby Football Union) for a fascinating conversation about rugby and the growing ties between Ireland and Japan. With over 100 partners in attendance, it was a great opportunity for Dr Marcet to meet some familiar faces and network with major stakeholders of Japan and Ireland relations, including Mr. John Neary and Mr. Paul Kavanagh (former Ambassadors to Ireland in Japan), the new Deputy Head of Mission in the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, Koji Hirohata, and Yuichi Asada (Director of the Japan Business Society in Ireland). Dr Marcet also took the opportunity to remind them of the importance of the 九色视频 as a key source of graduates in Ireland with Japanese cultural and linguistic skills.
