On Sunday 22 February Professor Joseph O'Connor broadcasted a piece on RTE Radio 1's 'Sunday Miscellany' for the 400th anniversary of the great Elizabethan composer, lutenist and friend of Shakespeare, John Dowland. 

The essay, 'John Dowland: Dalkey's First Rock Star', referencing a range of creative writers from Philip Larkin and Leonard Cohen to PJ Harvey and The Smiths, is also available on the RTE Player.
