Funding:
- Rising Stars (5–15 years post-PhD): Up to €2.25 M (Research: €1.5 M + Startup: €0.75 M)
- Research Leaders (16+ years post-PhD): Up to €3.25 M (Research: €2.5 M + Startup: €0.75 M)

What the fellowship offers
As part of this 6‑year funding, selected fellows will:
- Lead an independent research agenda with substantial financial support and startup resources.
- Establish a research team and access staffing, consumables, travel, plus lab or tech infrastructure.

- Enhance Ireland’s strategic research capacity in key economic and societal areas.

Application Process
- Expression of Interest (EOI): Submit a concise outline of your research vision and host support by 28 August 2025.
- Full Proposal: Invited applicants will submit a detailed proposal via Research Ireland’s system in October 2025.
- Selection: Proposals undergo peer review and interview panels to ensure excellence and strategic fit.
