What is the Hub?
So much of life now happens digitally - studying, assignments, teaching, remote working, banking, shopping, booking concerts and holidays, job interviews, the list goes on.
As a UL student or staff member, the Hub supports you in a wide variety of contexts by providing opportunities to help you strengthen your digital skills and confidence, whether for coursework, teaching, general life, or your career. On the Hub, you'll find
- Common Framing. View a common framing of digital skills and competence informed by globally reputable frameworks.
- Self-assessments. Assess your digital skills and explore personalised development plans using the Discovery Tool.
- 'Digital Essentials' self-study resources. Explore self鈥憇tudy resources on genAI, prompting, Excel, accessibility, video creation, communication, wellbeing and more.
- Live and recorded workshops. Take part in online and in鈥憄erson sessions to learn about Brightspace, genAI, and more. See our live workshop calendar below for details. Recordings of some are available on the Hub.
UL educators can embed elements of the Hub into their teaching.
- Collaborate
Partner with us to create a custom embed of the Hub in your academic context. Embedded elements can be assessed as part of your coursework through quiz and self鈥慳ssessment activities, should you want that.
The Hub is being embedded into an increasing number of curricula.
