Dr. Elizabeth Guihen joined the Faculty Office Team as the EHS Research Funding Officer in April 2025. She provides targeted support to faculty and research staff for programmes of strategic priority, along with all other funding programmes relevant to EHS researchers. 

She advises on the research funding strategy and assists researchers in building both internal and external collaborative research networks. She assists early career researchers in scoping specific funding calls and provides general research support.

Elizabeth obtained a B.Sc. in Chemistry (1st Hons) and subsequently pursued a PhD in analytical chemistry at University College Cork (UCC). She undertook postdoctoral research in the same research group (Prof. J.D. Glennon). Dr. Guihen has an extensive background in separation science, with publications in chromatography, electrophoresis, nanomaterials, and clinical analysis. She has over 15 years experience working across UCC, Pfizer, and the School of Medicine ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ.
