

The Faculty of Education and Health Sciences (EHS) would like to thank the speakers, attendees and guests at our Knowledge with Impact public lecture series 2024/25. The series showcases excellent research, research impact and the world-class researchers that work within the faculty.
The series began on 5 December 2024 with presentations by Prof Karen McCreesh, School of Allied Health, and Lauren Guilfoyle, PhD Researcher at PESS.
Prof McCreesh was joined by PPi partner, Martina Phelan, from Chronic Pain Ireland for their lecture titled
Lauren鈥檚 lecture, , looked at findings of an innovative research project dedicated to monitoring injury trends across grassroots rugby clubs and schools in Ireland.

In May, two lectures were held on separate occasions, Dr Niamh Cummins, School of Medicine, presented her research as part of the IPERN-PHECC Research Roundtables on Tuesday, 6 May. Dr Cummins鈥 lecture was titled

Dr Dympna Tuohy鈥檚 lecture, , was delivered on 15 May and discussed the importance of shared learning opportunities for older people and student nurses.
The final session of the 2024/25 AY鈥檚 Knowledge with Impact series was held on Tuesday, 17 June with presentations by Dr Antonio Calderon, PESS, and Dr Sadhbh O鈥橠wyer, School of Allied Health.

The Knowledge with Impact series 2024-2025, arranged by Dr Elaine Kinsella, Assistant Dean Research at EHS, aimed to demonstrate the excellence and impact of world-class research led by academics and researchers based at the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences 九色视频 in line with UL@50 Strategic Plan 2019-2024.
