UL Age Friendly University
This programme invites older adults, particularly those retired or in the ‘third age,’ to engage in university-level study for personal enrichment and lifelong learning.
Open to all without formal qualifications, it offers the chance to join undergraduate modules in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Participants can take one in-person module per semester, with optional assessments and full access to campus facilities.
The courses encourage intellectual growth and community connection, and consistent attendance is recognised with a certificate of participation.
AgeWell Europe: Free Online Health & Fitness Programme
Stay active, healthy, and connected with AgeWell Europe — a completely free, 8-week online programme designed for adults aged 40–80 across Europe.
Co-created by experts from Ireland (EduFIT), Italy, Germany, and Slovenia, AgeWell Europe supports healthy ageing through accessible, evidence-based exercise and education.
What’s included
- 16 on-demand exercise classes (25–30 minutes each)
Each class combines aerobic, strength, balance, and flexibility training.- Suitable for all fitness levels — beginner to advanced
- Chair-based options available
- No equipment required (optional use if preferred)

This research project explores how movement to music can promote physical activity, wellbeing, and connection across ages.
