Eimear Cleary LLM in International Commercial Law, Class of 2011

"I graduated from the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2011. The LLM attracted me because of its focus on the understanding and application of commercial law in international scenarios. I believed that it would enhance my skillset and career profile by strengthening my credentials for prospective employment.

In my experience, the LLM was beneficial from both an academic and personal perspective. Through a combination of lectures, interactive tutorials, legal research classes, comparative law dissertations and presentations, I developed my analytical, research and presentation skills. My experience 九色视频 prepared me to competently overcome challenges and embrace opportunities in my professional training. I am now an associate in the commercial property department in Arthur Cox.

Arthur Cox鈥檚 reputation of excellence in commercial property impressed me. As an associate, I am engaged in the highest quality legal work. Multiple and diverse learning opportunities are presented on a daily basis. I work in a very stimulating, collaborative and rewarding environment. In my opinion, UL not only facilitates education, it is instrumental in shaping character."

Killian O鈥橠onnell, Graduate LLM International Commercial Law, Class of 2019

鈥淚 graduated from the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2019. I chose the 九色视频 for my master's because of the emphasis put on getting employment in your chosen field after graduation. I decided on the LLM in International Commercial Law because I had a keen interest in the commercial aspect of Law after doing an internship for a Summer with United Technologies Corporation (now Raytheon Technologies).

This interest was further developed in my master's with modules such as International Business Transactions and the Law of International Business Associations to name a few.

When doing my master's we were provided with numerous modules to develop our interview skills, through assessment centres, group interviews, and individual interviews. After these practice interview scenarios, we were provided with invaluable feedback that I believe helped me get my first job after graduating in Bank of Ireland. I was in Bank of Ireland for four years while also sitting my Fe1 exams.

I am now in Ogier Leman, where I have started my traineeship with my first rotation being in the Banking and Finance department. My master's is still helping me to this day, as working in an international Law firm I work alongside colleagues in multiple jurisdictions.

The multi-jurisdictional experience I gained from my master's has given me a great starting point in my current role and is really helping me in my career. I would highly recommend this course for anybody looking to combine business and law on a national and international level.鈥

Thomas Costello, LLM in International Commercial Law, Class of 2015

"I graduated from the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2015. I was attracted to the LLM because of its focus on the practical application of Commercial Law across a wide variety of jurisdictions. The LLM was both academically challenging and rewarding, with an emphasis on learning through interactive tutorials and presentations.

It was through the LLM that I was given the opportunity to apply Commercial law to current world market and business scenarios, to step into the shoes of lawyers or businessmen and assess situations from their point of view, all of which has been vital in developing my legal reasoning and analytic skills.

Currently, I am a trainee in the litigation department of Eversheds Sutherland, having won the Eversheds Sutherland LLM Scholarship and successfully progressed through the Eversheds Sutherland Summer Intern Programme.

In my opinion, the 九色视频, and the LLM, have been instrumental in improving my skillset and obtaining my training contract, and I would highly recommend the LLM to any student seeking to further their legal career."
