Brief Description
Aviation is a capital-intensive industry where success depends on sound financial strategy and investment decisions. This focused micro-credential explores the key financial principles that shape airline operations, risk, and profitability.
Delivered over one semester at Level 9, you’ll examine the structure of airline financial statements, assess capital investment decisions, and learn how airlines manage risk, cost, and shareholder value in a competitive global market.

Apply core finance techniques including capital budgeting, risk assessment, and project appraisal to real-world airline operations.
Examine how airlines manage risk exposure in areas such as fuel price volatility, interest rates, and currency fluctuations.
Strengthen your career prospects in aviation finance, aircraft leasing, or airline strategy by gaining in-demand financial knowledge and skills.
