ReSHAPE Project Funding

ReSHAPE Project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027.
R is one of the most widely used tools for data analysis in industry, research, and academia—valued for its flexibility, open-source community, and data visualisation power.
This 6-week, Level 9 micro-credential is ideal for professionals or researchers who want to start using R for data analytics no prior coding experience is needed. You’ll learn to import, wrangle, summarise, and visualise data, develop interactive dashboards, and explore reproducible workflows in RStudio.
Whether you’re new to programming or upskilling for your role, this module offers a practical foundation in one of today’s most important data tools.
This module is associated with the Data Analytics Professional Diploma . It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module and as part of a pathway to a larger award.
During this module, you will:
Learn the fundamentals of data analytics and how to apply them using R and RStudio.
Gain hands-on experience in data wrangling, data summary, and data visualisation., .
Develop reproducible coding practices for data projects.
Strengthen your CV with in-demand skills in R and analytics, supporting career development or progression to further study.
Key Information:
This micro-credential will be delivered fully online over 6 weeks.
Continuous assessment, including applied coding exercises, short written assignments, and practical projects using R and RStudio.

To help you to be successful on this course:
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant discipline.
