Brief Description
Understanding how to allocate scarce resources effectively is a cornerstone of economic theory and practice.
This 12-week, online micro-credential teaches you fundamental microeconomic concepts and analytical approaches used to solve real-world resource allocation problems.

This micro-credential is ideal for professionals without an economics degree who want to build decision-making skills or pursue further study in economics and public policy.
This module is associated with the Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Public Policy. It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module or as part of a pathway to a larger award.

To help you to be successful on this course:
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline.
If applicants have a lower result, they may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.
