Brief Description

Digital transformation is reshaping industries, streamlining workflows, boosting efficiency, and driving innovation.   

To successfully lead or support this shift, the ability to map, analyse, and automate processes using digital tools and technologies are highly sought-after skills. 

This 13-week, Level 9 micro-credential introduces practical tools to measure digital maturity and evaluate current and future states. You’ll learn to develop a road map for digital transformation implementing automation strategies. 

Ideal for professionals in business, manufacturing, or IT roles, this module provides a foundation for leading and supporting digitalisation initiatives within your organisation.  

This module is associated with the Professional Diploma Digitalisation of Business & Industry Processes. It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module or as part of a pathway to a larger award.

During this module, you will: 

  • Learn how to measure digital maturity and map current and future states to drive effective digital transformation. 

  • Apply methodologies for harnessing and analysing process data to support business process digitisation using platforms like SAS JMP Pro Software. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will also be considered with exposure to Software platforms such as Blue Prism. 

  • Use database technologies and data visualisation tools to evaluate processes in a real-world business context. 

  • Prepare a digitalisation roadmap and associated business case to guide strategic automation and investment decisions.

It will be delivered online over 13 weeks. 

You will be assessed using continuous assessment methods, including assignments, practical exercises, and online activities.

To help you to be successful on this course: 

  • Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline. 

  • You should have at least [number] years of relevant work experience, particularly in the areas of [names of areas].
