Brief Description
GreenTech Skillnet in collaboration with the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ, are offering up to 50% funding on a limited number of places to embark on the Energy Economics and Policy accredited micro-credential.
The transition to clean energy is essential to meeting our climate goals and one of the most urgent challenges of our time.
This 12-week, Level 9 micro-credential gives you the economic and policy insight needed to support sustainable energy systems.
With a strong focus on the role of public policy in shaping energy markets, you’ll explore topics such as carbon pricing, electricity markets, renewable energy, and climate regulation.
Through a unique combination of research-led teaching and problem-based learning, you’ll build the skills to evaluate real-world decisions that affect people, planet, and economies.
Supported by GreenTech Skillnet and developed in partnership with industry, the module is ideal for professionals working in energy, environment, or sustainability, or anyone considering postgraduate study in these areas.

Key Information
Delivered online during the spring semester over 12 weeks.
You will be assessed using continuous assessment methods, including essays, online presentations, contributions to debates, and practical problem sets.
The module will include pre-recorded lectures and live online sessions, delivered through a virtual learning environment.

To help you to be successful on this course:
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline.
