Brief Description
Strong critical and innovative thinking skills are essential for tackling complex challenges in the workplace. In this micro-credential, you’ll learn how to develop your problem-solving abilities, enhance decision-making, and apply creative and analytical thinking to real-world scenarios.
This is highlighted in the Association of Higher Education Careers Services (AHECS) Graduate Market Survey.
This module is associated with the Professional Diploma in Transferable Skills, from Critical Thinking to Communication. It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module or as part of a pathway to a larger award.
During this module, you will:
Develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential to the 21st-century workplace.
Apply key concepts such as problem identification, the role of evidence, and the influence of bias and assumptions.
Analyse the relationship between critical thinking and problem-solving in workplace settings.
Collaborate with peers to assess and resolve workplace challenges using structured problem-solving methods.
Key Information:
This micro-credential will be delivered online over six weeks.
Includes a combination of interactive learning activities and online discussions.
Assessed by an assignment on completion of the module content.

To help you to be successful on this course:
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in any discipline or have relevant work experience.
You should be working as managers, supervisors, or employees.
