ReSHAPE Project Funding

ReSHAPE Project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027. 


Today’s supply chains are complex, fast-moving and under constant pressure to improve performance. This 5-week, Level 9 micro-credential gives you a clear, practical introduction to the systems, strategies and frameworks that shape modern supply chain management. 

You’ll explore supply chain frameworks while collaborating effectively in an online setting. By engaging in e-tivities and discussions on global supply chain management (SCM) topics you will develop insights into SCM practices across various industries. Instead of traditional lectures, you’ll take part in activities, discussions and a reflective assessment that helps you apply learning to your own industry context. 

Whether you’re working in operations, logistics or planning, or aiming to build new skills in supply chain management, this micro-credential is suited to professionals across manufacturing, services, healthcare, life sciences, aviation and more. 

This module is associated with the Professional Diploma Supply Chain Management  and MSc in Supply Chain Operations.  It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module or as part of a pathway to a larger award. 

On completion of this module, you will be able to: 

  • Work collaboratively in an online environment, engage in e-tivitites and participate in discussions regarding relevant global SCM topics 

  • Develop insight and understanding of supply chain practices across your own and other industries 

  • Identify various frameworks used in supply chain operations current practices 

  • Determine key performance indicators (KPI) for successful supply chain management 

  • Recognise supply chain management practices that influence the future success or failure of organisations 

  • Reflect on your experience throughout the module 

Key Information: 

This micro-credential will be delivered online over 5 weeks.   

You will be assessed using continuous online assessment with no final exam.  Weekly etivities in weeks 1-4 and a final assignment submitted in week 5. 

This module has no evening lectures. There is a meet and greet lecture at the beginning of the module and there is a catch-up session in week 4.  

Part-time considerations:   

  • Designed for working professionals     

  • Additional prep and group work time   

  • Timetable provided after registration  

  • There will be two live sessions during the course: 

    • Week 1 – Meet and Greet Session: 
       A morning session to welcome students. This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend. 

    • Week 4 – Catch-up Session: 
       A live check-in to see how students are progressing. 

To help you to be successful on this course:  

  • Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant discipline. 

  • If applicants have a lower result or an unrelated qualification, they may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they can provide evidence of 5 years plus of relevant work experience (Recognised Prior Learning). 

  • Applicants should be currently employed or seeking employment in industries such as Manufacturing, Service, Retail, Defence Forces, Health Care Services; Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Aviation, Semiconductors etc.

  • By applying, you confirm that you meet the entry requirements and can take part in the course and its assessments.  

  • This course will go ahead if it meets minimum enrolment number.  

  • Completing this module doesn’t guarantee you a place in a full programme. If you want to apply for a full programme, you must meet the specific entry requirements for that programme.
