Brief Description
This 12-week, Level 9 Micro-credential is for nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals who want to develop their leadership skills.
You’ll explore what leadership means in complex healthcare settings, and how to lead and manage practice in ways that support patients, teams and service development.
You’ll learn how to support collaboration, ethical decision-making and positive change. You’ll also cover interdisciplinary working, practice development, power dynamics and the challenges of sustaining compassionate, safe care under pressure.
The module helps you reflect on your own leadership identity and grow as a reflective, values-led professional who can influence and improve practice.

- Understand what it means to lead and manage in person-centred healthcare environments
- Explore how to support change, collaboration and decision-making in interdisciplinary teams
- Reflect on power, ethics and the dynamics that influence practice development
- Build skills to grow as a reflective leader who can support and sustain innovation in care
General Information
This micro-credential will be delivered in a blended format over 12 weeks.
You will be assessed using continuous assessment with no final exam.

- You must be from a Healthcare background.
