This programme equips you with the skills and insights to deliver exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment at third level.
You鈥檒l explore your teaching identity and philosophy, apply learning theories to inclusive curriculum design, and gain experience across online, blended, and face-to-face settings.
In the PGDip year, you鈥檒l focus on transforming practice and developing as a transformative leader in higher education.
The PGCert/PGDip in Learning, Teaching & Assessment is recognised 九色视频 as a continuing professional development (CPD) activity enabling you to evidence teaching excellence.
During this programme, you will:
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the principles of curriculum design to inform planning for learning, teaching and assessment in on-campus and online environments.
- Engage in best practice in teaching, learning and assessment and application of theory.
- Explore teaching identity, teaching philosophy, learning theories and their application to inclusive curriculum design.
- Engage in reflective practice and develop your own views, strategies, innovations and enhancements for teaching, learning and assessment.
- Students who achieve a 2:2 result or higher at the end of year one are invited to progress to year two to complete the Postgraduate Diploma.

Year 2 鈥 Postgraduate Diploma
Autumn Semester
Supports teachers in higher education to engage in, and reflect on, activities that transform their practice for the enhancement of student learning.
Spring Semester
enables you to lead change in learning, teaching and assessment practices in your discipline and beyond.
Books and journal articles needed for the course will be available online through the UL Glucksman Library.

- Applicants should hold a bachelor鈥檚 degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2).
- Applicants must be engaged in teaching in the higher or further education sector for the duration of the programme.
- The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.鈥

- Personal introduction and motivations for taking the course.
- Confirmation of engagement in teaching in the higher or further education sector for the duration of the programme.
- Confirmation that you have discussed taking this course with your Head of Department and that you have sufficient time to commit to the course given local workload allocations.

- *If you are waiting to graduate, submit your application with the documents you have to date, you don鈥檛 need to have finished final exams before applying.

Please note that international study visas are only available to students studying full-time in Ireland. This programme does not qualify for a study visa.
Annual fees are billed by semester. Once registered, students may be eligible to apply for a monthly payment plan.
