Brief Description
This one-year blended part-time transversal skills-based programme is uniquely designed for professionals working across and within all sectors (public, private, service, health, voluntary, etc.).
Delivered via Live, interactive online, skills-focused evening sessions which are supported with Brightspace, our virtual learning environment, in addition to self-directed and applied learning.
This industry-informed and hugely popular programme is designed for both emerging and experienced professionals who want to move to the next level of their career and gain a formal, internationally recognised management qualification to advance their career potential and professional impact. (NFQ Level 7, 60 ECTS Credits).
The Diploma in Management is book-ended with two compulsory on-campus Saturday workshops, allowing participants to meet the programme team, fellow professionals, apply knowledge, facilitate discussion and collaboration, and debate content covered within online sessions.
This programme is for professionals seeking to advance their careers and reinforce experiential learning with an academic qualification in management, or graduates of other disciplines with three or more years of organisational experience seeking to explore the management process and develop the relevant skills for their first managerial role.
During this programme, you will:
- Learn to apply a range of skills and techniques to manage themselves, their career, and their teams more effectively while gaining a unique perspective on their own personal and professional development that is relatable, practical and implementable.
- Develop an understanding and appreciation of core management principles and explore the impact of the economic environment on their organisations and sectors.
- Develop interpersonal confidence, communication skills and practical organisational techniques in a range of settings, and recognise, accept, and learn to control stress to better manage your work/life balance.

Year 1
Autumn Semester
- provides a conceptual understanding of the role of the manager and applies techniques towards the self-analysis of management and leadership styles.
- provides students with an informed and practical grounding in the concepts, values, and application of Organisational Behaviour in the workplace.
- provides an overview of supply chain management and how it can contribute to improved business performance.
- gives managers from a non-financial background a better understanding of the basic principles of business finance.
- applies the need techniques of project management to an organisational problem.
Spring Semester
- provides an overview of the issues managers face concerning the continuous management of change within their organisation.
- explores the importance of strategic management in the development and survival of organizations in the private and public sectors.
- builds upon the key concepts of Organisational Behaviour I (PM3081) studied during the Autumn semester and enhances students' understanding of the language, processes and concepts of Organisational Behaviour
- provides an overview of the human resource management and development process.

- The programme is open to applicants who hold a Certificate in Management - Level 6 NFQ (ECTS 60 Credits) or an equivalent qualification.
- Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant organisational experience.

Please note that international study visas are only available to students studying full-time in Ireland. This programme does not qualify for a study visa.
Annual fees are billed by semester. Once registered, students may be eligible to apply for a monthly payment plan.
