Brief Description
Have you thought about a career in business but don’t have a business background? UL’s one-year, full-time MSc in Management is specifically designed for non-business graduates and provides a comprehensive foundation in the major business disciplines needed to launch a successful management career.
The programme introduces you to core areas such as accounting, economics, marketing, digital transformation, organisational behaviour, human resource management, and strategic management.
With a strong focus on applied learning, the course combines theory with practice through case studies, business simulations, and project work, equipping you with the skills and confidence to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.
During this programme, you will:
- Gain a solid grounding in the fundamental principles of modern management and key business disciplines.
- Examine the dynamics of employment relations, workplace behaviour, and the management of people and organisations.
- Explore core concepts and practices in accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, economics, and digital transformation.
- Develop and apply practical business skills to support effective decision-making, planning, and problem-solving in organisational contexts.
- Participate in a Business Simulation module to apply your knowledge in practice and build real-world management experience.
- Choose from elective modules, such as the Confirmation Paper or Managing Complexity within Business, to tailor the programme to your interests and career goals.

Autumn Semester
- will Introduce the core principles and frameworks that underpin modern management across different organisational contexts.
- will examine the role of marketing in business strategy and equips you with tools to analyse and address customer needs.
- will explore how individuals and groups behave in organisations and how managers can shape workplace dynamics.
- will focus on how digital technologies and data-driven approaches reshape business models, processes, and decision-making.
- will provide an understanding of key economic concepts and their application to managerial decision-making.
Spring Semester
- will develop your ability to formulate, implement, and evaluate strategies in complex business environments.
- will analyse modern HR practices with an emphasis on talent management, diversity, and the evolving nature of work.
- will build skills in professional communication, collaboration, and networking essential for managerial success.
- will introduce analytical tools and methods for turning data into actionable business insights.
- will examine financial decision-making with a focus on sustainability, risk, and value creation.
Summer Semester
- is a capstone, experiential module where you apply your learning by managing a virtual company in a competitive market environment.

- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree ( Level 8) with at least a second-class honours grade 2 (2:2). in any field other than Business or Commerce related fields.
- The university will shortlist and invite you to an interview.
