Brief Description
Healthcare is changing, with more care moving into the community to reduce pressure on hospitals and improve access to services. This 12-week, Level 9 micro-credential supports registered nurses, midwives and allied healthcare professionals to understand the evolving role of primary and community care.
³Û´Ç³Ü’l±ô explore how integrated, person-centred services can meet the needs of individuals, families and communities while also reducing hospital admissions.
³Û´Ç³Ü’l±ô learn about different models of primary healthcare, explore both global and national approaches, and examine how social factors affect people’s health. ³Û´Ç³Ü’l±ô also look at practical ways to improve equity and wellbeing in the communities you work with.
Whether you're already working in the community or preparing to move into a new role, this micro-credential will help you build the skills and confidence to support people where they live.
This module is associated with Nursing - MSc, Nursing Studies - MSc, and Advanced Healthcare Practice - MSc. It can be taken as a standalone University Certificate of Study (UCOS) module or as part of a pathway to a larger award.
During this module, you will:

You will be assessed using continuous assessment and in-person presentation with no final exam.
