Graduate and Professional Studies at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ (UL) is pleased to launch a new master’s degree to it’s portfolio, the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering - MSc.  The master’s, the only of its kind in Ireland, was designed to give students a direct pathway into some of the fastest-growing sectors nationally and internationally. 

From its structure to its teaching approach, the programme is intentionally built around what students need to advance their careers. It offers graduates from engineering and science backgrounds (chemical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, biotechnology, material science) the opportunity to develop highly specialised skills that employers in pharma, biopharma, environmental technology and sustainable energy consistently seek.

Students gain:

• Advanced technical expertise in reaction engineering, process modelling, separations and process safety

A key feature of the MSc is the substantial summer research project, a major advantage for students aiming to stand out in competitive fields. Projects can be completed either on campus or in industry settings, giving students the flexibility to tailor the experience to their career goals.
