50808 is a free, anonymous, 24/7 messaging service providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support.

50808 provides a safe space where you’re listened to by a trained Volunteer. You’ll message back and forth, only sharing what you feel comfortable with.

By asking questions, listening to you and responding with support, they will help you sort through your feelings until you both feel you are now in a calm, safe place.

Niteline is a free College Student Support line that is open every night of term from 9pm - 2.30am

Niteline is run by students for students. They are there if you ever feel that you would like to talk to someone who will listen, accept and understand without judging. 

Niteline offers:

  • Confidential support - all calls remain strictly confidential
  • 100% Anonymous - they won't know any identifying details so you are completely anonymous
  • Non-judgemental - Volunteers provide an open and accepting atmosphere and will not judge you or what you say
  • Non-directive - Volunteers won't tell you what to do or direct you towards a particular course of action. 

Employee Support Service (ESS)

The ESS is a confidential counselling and advice service to assist all of us in dealing with personal issues that could pose a threat to our health, well-being, relationships or employment. 

  • The service is free – the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ bears the cost of this service.
  • The service is voluntary – the decision to use the service and avail of counselling rests with the individual.
  • The service is confidential and independent – and provided by an external company called Inspire Wellbeing.
