We are excited to invite practitioners, educators, and community members in the Limerick region to a special Inclusive Dance Workshop and Seminar at the Irish World Academy, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ. This event marks the beginning of a collaborative dialogue to help shape a proposed new module in Inclusive Dance, which will be available to both UL BA and MA students and for people of different abilities who would be interested in learning inclusive dance practice through Link In.

What to Expect:
- Morning Workshop: Led by Rhona Coughlan from Inclusive Dance Cork, this studio-based session is open to both IWAMD students and the wider community of dance practitioners.
- Afternoon Seminar:
- Presentation by Professor Anna Hickey Moody (Professor of Intersectional Humanities, Maynooth University)
- Overview ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Practices by Katy Hewison, DL Bridge Artist at Dance Limerick, highlighting inclusive group and 1-1 training initiatives developed in partnership with Limerick Arts Office and Limerick City and County Council.
- Group Discussion: A collaborative session to gather insights and perspectives on the design, content, and delivery of the proposed module.
Key Partners:
This initiative builds on the pioneering Inclusive Dance Cork programme (2022–2024), a microcredential partnership between University College Cork and Dance Cork Firkin Crane, with continued support from Rethink Ireland’s Resilient Cork Fund 2025, local donors, and community supporters.
