Date: Thursday, 13 November 2025
Time: 2pm - 5pm

Hosted by the Irish World Academy in collaboration with Luail - Ireland’s National Dance Company and the National Dance Archive of Ireland (NDAI), this special event invites you to explore the intersection of dance and archival practice.

Dance artists Rachel Ní Bhraonáin and Matt Szczerek, both of whom have participated in the Activating Archive residency, will share insights into how working with archives has shaped—and continues to shape— their artistic journeys.

The afternoon, which will be chaired by Dr Jenny Roche, will also feature a presentation by NDAI archivist Anna-Maria Hajba, offering practical guidance on how dance artists can document and preserve their work for future generations.

Whether you're a student, artist, researcher, or simply curious about dance and its history, this engaging session promises thought-provoking discussion and creative inspiration.

Everyone is welcome; come be part of the conversation!

Luail is funded by The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon
