¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ

The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ is developing a new Staff Learning Management System (LMS), StaffLearning.ul.ie, to support staff in enhancing their learning and professional development. This platform will facilitate the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of learning and development programs, including mandatory training required for compliance and professional standards.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Enovation Solutions who will work closely with the University's Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology Division (ITD) to ensure a seamless and effective implementation.

What does it mean for the UL community?

Once implemented, the new Staff Learning Management System (LMS) will benefit all staff and provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for training needs, with the following key benefits:

  • Enable more efficient and accurate tracking of mandatory training and policy reviews.
  • Provide a more efficient process for organising training.
  • Improved reporting capabilities for managers.
  • More efficient use of learning and development staff.
  • Increased attendance at planned training sessions.

Project update

In Q4 2024, multiple vendors submitted proposals in response to the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ's LMS tender. After a rigorous evaluation process, the University selected Enovation Solutions to develop and implement the new Staff Learning Management System (LMS).

The system's development is now underway, with thorough testing planned throughout to ensure functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness. The Staff LMS is expected to be fully operational by late 2025/ early 2026.

To ensure a seamless rollout, a comprehensive communication plan will be put in place. Additionally, training sessions will be conducted before the system goes live, equipping staff with the knowledge and confidence to use the platform effectively.
