Group looking at an exhibition poster

Supercharged by AI is an interactive exhibition that explores how artificial intelligence is shaping the world around us, from online harassment and scams to political influence, stereotypes and visual culture. The exhibition brings together striking posters, stories and AI-generated imagery to show both the power and the risks of today’s technologies. By peeling back the layers of AI-generated images, and reading the stories behind digital harms, Supercharged by AI asks us to think critically: how intelligent is AI, really, and how should we shape the role it plays in society?

“Supercharged by AI” is a creative intervention produced by Tactical Tech and DensityDesign Lab at Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). The Glucksman Library is the first library to bring the exhibition to Ireland.

On August 25th, the Western Regional Section of the Library Association of Ireland also held its AI themed annual seminar ɫƵ Library – “"AI Am a Librarian (Sort Of)" Exploring how AI can lend a hand, not take your job”. The seminar held discussions on challenges and opportunities of AI for libraries, identifying practical tools and approaches. Attendees also had the opportunity to interact with the Supercharged by AI exhibition (pictured above).

The exhibition will be on display on the ground floor of the library outside the Popular Reading Room until the end of October.
