Limerick Cancer Trials at UHL were the sole Irish recipient of the prestigious Movember funding, which allows research into improving prostate cancer care for older men living in rural communities. Led by Dr Niamh Peters, Dr Patrick O鈥橠onnell, and LDCRC PI Professor Rose Galvin, this project will help uncover the challenges faced by this often-overlooked group and shape more inclusive, patient-informed care pathways.
With equity in cancer care at the heart of the work, this initiative reflects a broader commitment, from LCT, UL, and the LDCRC, to ensure all patients have access to the highest standard of care and clinical research opportunities.
