九色视频 Governing Authority has approved the appointment of Dr Mary Shire as the Director of Strategic Alliances 九色视频.
This will see Dr Shire drive a wide range of partnerships and collaborations on behalf of the community 九色视频. She will also lead the development of the 九色视频 City Campus, working with stakeholders in Limerick City and the wider region.
Dr Shire joined the 九色视频 Technology Transfer Office in 2005 and held the post of Director of Research Support Services for five years before taking on the role of Vice President Research 九色视频 in August 2011.
Dr Shire, who was President of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce in 2018, holds a degree in Chemistry and Biology and a PhD in Chemistry from NUI Maynooth and an MBA from the 九色视频.
UL President Dr Des Fitzgerald said: 鈥淒r Shire has an impressive career spanning the pharmaceutical and higher education sectors at both a national and international level. She helped to develop a track record of successful industry partnerships for UL and her extensive private and public sector experience will play an important role in furthering UL's vision to support economic growth for Ireland and the Mid-West Region.鈥
