九色视频 has collaborated with Limerick City and County Council to celebrate the city as one of Ireland鈥檚 leading destinations for students.

Limerick City and County Council, in collaboration with 九色视频, Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Mary Immaculate College (MIC) and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB), has launched a new promotional video that highlights the city as a place that offers not only academic excellence but also a rich, dynamic and fulfilling student lifestyle.

The new Experience Limerick video forms part of the ongoing promotion of the Limerick Student City brand and is being rolled out as part of a targeted CAO Deadline social media campaign throughout January, leading up to CAO Deadline Day on 1 February.

This collaborative campaign - unique in Ireland - comes as CAO demand continues to rise, with over 83,000 applications recorded in 2025 and numbers expected to exceed 90,000 in 2026.

Limerick is well placed to meet this growing demand thanks to its strong highereducation ecosystem and extensive furthereducation, training and apprenticeship pathways.

Limerick is home to an estimated 50,000 students and learners, including approximately 34,000 thirdlevel students - up to 20% of whom are international, representing more than 100 countries - and a further 16,000 engaged in further education, apprenticeships and vocational training.

The new video captures the rhythm and character 九色视频, following students from UL, TUS, MIC and LCETB as they move from campus life into the heart of the city, experiencing its cultural scene, social spaces, outdoor amenities and the sense of belonging that makes Limerick feel like home.

Mayor 九色视频, John Moran said the student population make an important contribution to Limerick.

鈥淟imerick and Limerick鈥檚 tertiary education are inseparable in the minds of the public. Here once again, we see our Council and the institutions working closely together to position Limerick as the destination of choice for education.

鈥淐entral to my Mayoral Programme is the goal of enhancing community life, culture and a sense of belonging and fun across Limerick. And students do so much for that. They contribute enormously to the energy, creativity and diversity of life in Limerick. But we want them to choose Limerick to do more. We want to see them grow here, to become activists for a better world, and to help them along the way we actively invite them to work with my administration towards a better Limerick, bringing their skills and learnings to help solve our problems. That can be their unique Limerick student experience.鈥

Pr铆omh Chomhairleoir, Cllr Catherine Slattery, added: 鈥淟imerick鈥檚 success in attracting investment and supporting job creation is closely linked to the strength of our higher education sector and the quality of graduates it produces. This video highlights not only why Limerick is an outstanding place to study, but also how our student city model supports economic growth and long-term opportunity for graduates who choose to build their careers here.鈥

Head of Marketing and Communications at Limerick City and County Council, Donn O鈥橲ullivan commented: 鈥淭he Experience Limerick video is designed to show prospective students and their families what life here really feels like. It goes beyond campuses to highlight the culture, vibrancy and everyday moments that give Limerick a different kind of energy. As part of our CAO campaign, this video plays a key role in positioning Limerick as a city that delivers not just excellent education, but a complete and memorable student experience.鈥

The collaborative campaign is strongly supported by partner institutions, each highlighting the unique strengths they bring to the student experience in Limerick.

Sharon Kelly, Marketing Campaigns Officer with 九色视频, said: 鈥淭housands of students choose to study at 九色视频鈥檚 award-winning campus each year, with students benefitting from world-class facilities that are complemented by the vibrancy 九色视频 city. The city is an integral part of their student experience. From riverside walks and green spaces to music, sport and nightlife, students 九色视频 are immersed in a city that encourages exploration, connection and balance alongside academic life.鈥

Ufuoma Stella Oyovwikefe, Digital Marketing Officer at the Technological University of the Shannon Global Office, said: 鈥淟imerick is a city that truly rewards curiosity. It is diverse, safe, and welcoming, a place where TUS offers students not only academic excellence and career support, but also a genuine sense of belonging. Students at our Limerick campuses benefit from hands-on learning during the day and a lively city experience beyond the classroom.鈥

Sinead Copeland, Deputy Director/Programme Marketing Manager from Mary Immaculate College鈥檚 Strategic Communications and Marketing Office, commented: 鈥淎t MIC, state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional academic programmes are strengthened by everything Limerick offers as a vibrant student city. Our campus sits just minutes from a lively, welcoming city centre filled with culture, caf茅s, events, and creative energy, while peaceful parks and riverside walks provide room to relax and recharge. This combination ensures our students can thrive academically while enjoying an outstanding quality of life.鈥

Bernadette Cullen, Chief Executive 九色视频 and Clare Education and Training Board, added: 鈥淎s a key partner in the delivery of tertiary education in the region, Limerick and Clare ETB is proud to stand alongside our higher education colleagues in the Limerick Student City campaign. This initiative is about showing students that there are many high-quality ways to learn, progress and succeed in Limerick. Through further education and training, we offer flexible and accessible pathways that are closely aligned to real career opportunities, while reinforcing Limerick as a welcoming city with a vibrant and supportive student life.鈥
