This schedule lists the documentation that the Garda National Vetting Bureau (GNVB) will accept when processing vetting applications.
Strict Adherence: Only the documents listed are acceptable.
Applicants over 18
Credit Institutions
- Bank Statement from a recognised bank (not private money lenders or Revolut)
- Building Society Statement
- Credit Union Statement or Passbook
Utility providers
- Utility Bill (the only utility bills accepted are: gas, electricity, television, broadband, waste and TV licence). Mobile phone/Car Insurance documents NOT accepted.
Government bodies
- Correspondence from government departments (including SUSI Letter)
Local authorities
- Letter from Local Council confirming tenancy
Applicants under 18
You need to provide two documents: one to prove who you are and one to show where you live.
If you鈥檙e under 18 and don鈥檛 have the usual documents, these will be accepted instead:
- Your birth certificate
- Or a written statement from your school principal or an accredited third level institution official that confirms you go there and shows your address
