Research Ireland has a , enabling Research Ireland-funded Grant holders and their Team Members to request supplementary budget for the costs of required, eligible reasonable accommodations where those costs are not available via other existing funding mechanisms.

 To request supplementary budget, researchers (including postgraduate students) should complete the , and ensure this is endorsed by the HEI Disability/Access or Human Resources/EDI Office (as relevant). If the individual requiring budget for reasonable accommodations is not the Grant holder, they do not need to inform the Grant holder that they will be submitting a request to Research Ireland.

 Research Ireland (RI) does not request any personal health and/or medical documentation and/or information (including evidence of a medical diagnosis/diagnoses) as part of the Disability Supplement Request Process.
