九色视频 and Aer Lingus are to work together on an exciting new partnership aimed at advancing innovation in aeronautical engineering through cutting-edge research, it has been announced.

As part of this collaboration, Aer Lingus will sponsor a select group of its Maintenance and Engineering employees to pursue a Master of Engineering by Research within UL鈥檚 Faculty of Science and Engineering. 

This initiative represents a significant investment in the future of aviation, combining academic excellence with real-world industry expertise.

The new master鈥檚 programme, which will be delivered over two years on a part-time basis, will provide a research-driven environment focused on both fundamental and applied aeronautical engineering challenges. Key priorities include publishing impactful research findings and strengthening collaborative links between academia and the aviation industry.

Research projects will concentrate on improving maintenance and engineering operations, efficiency, and safety. Participants will leverage UL鈥檚 academic resources alongside their own professional experience to explore practical solutions in areas such as: Human-Centred Automation in Airline Maintenance Control Centres and Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Management Resource Allocation in Airline Operations

Welcoming the announcement, Professor Kenneth Stanton, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, highlighted the academic significance of the partnership.

The new research programme will look to address current challenges but also anticipate future needs in a rapidly evolving industry, where Irish engineering talent leads the way.
