The UL Department of Physics is proud to announce that two department members were the recipients of awards at conferences early this September. 

Congratulations to Dr Krittish Roy and David O'Brien.

Krittish was awarded the Dilis Das-Gupta Memorial Award at the 20th International Symposium on Electrets, for his presentation on Self-powered Piezo-/Pyroelectric Integrated Devices  Using Electrospun Fluoropolymer Electret Fibers.

David earned the award for Best Talk at Photonics Ireland 2025, for his presentation on Varying the illumination patterns for coherent super-resolution microscopy beyond image scanning microscopy (ISM).
