Get all your university services at your fingertips with the new ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ app. myUL provides real-time, on-the-go information to support you throughout your student journey including your timetable, an interactive campus map, access to key student supports and loads more - all in one place. 

 

How to access myUL: 1. Download the app: Get myUL from the (Android device) or (iOS device). 

2. Log in with your UL credentials: Use your UL student email and password to sign in. Please note, myUL can only be accessed using credentials linked to an active ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ account. If you are new to the University, you must activate your UL student account before accessing myUL, i.e. change your initial password – instructions on how to complete this task will be provided by the relevant admitting office in UL. 

You will immediately be able to access useful information, including: 

  • Access to centrally scheduled timetable information including FAQs
  • An interactive campus map with filters for where to find microwaves, showers & water refill stations
  • Clubs & Societies
  • Information on support services, e.g. Medical Services
  • Integrations with UL student services e.g. Email, Student Portal (SI), Library etc
  • Dedicated health and wellbeing section with signposting to supports
  • Emergency contact information

You can now use myUL to enter the Library, and borrow library laptops and books.

What does the Library Access Pass do?

  • Provides a quick, convenient way to access the library.
  • Allows you to borrow library laptops and books.

What does the Library Access Pass not do?

  • It does not replace your student card. Students must continue to carry a valid student card while on campus.
  • It does not grant swipe card door access to other Library rooms e.g. study rooms, postgraduate rooms, or meeting rooms or any other buildings.
  • It does not grant you entry to end of semester examinations. Your student card remains mandatory for entry to end of semester examinations.
  • It is for your use only - it cannot be shared or transferred.

Dear Staff

Since launching, the myUL student app has experienced excellent uptake across the University community, with over 6,000 users already registered. 

We are now pleased to announce the release of additional features designed to further enhance the student experience. 

The Library Access Pass is now available within the myUL student app which can be downloaded by both staff and students via the  (Android) or (iOS).

 

What does the Library Pass do?

  • Allows users to enter the library by scanning a secure digital barcode on their mobile device at the Library gates.
  • Allows users to borrow Library laptops and books. 

What does the Library Pass not do?

  • It does not replace student cards. Students must continue to carry a valid student card while on campus.
  • It does not grant swipe card door access to other Library rooms e.g. study rooms, postgraduate rooms, or meeting rooms or any other buildings.
  • It does not grant students entry to end of semester examinations. Student cards remain mandatory for entry to end of semester examinations.
  • It cannot be shared or transferred.

My timetable view is not displaying on myUL? 

If your timetable view is not displaying correctly, click  for support. Please note, only centrally scheduled timetables are available via myUL.  

  • If your timetable should be available via myUL, please visit  and log in at the top right on the screen using your student number and UL account password (i.e. the same password you use to access Brightspace/Email).
  • If your timetable isn’t available or is incorrect on , please  for support.
  • If your timetable is displaying correctly on  , please  for support. 

I have downloaded the myUL app but can’t sign in? 

Your login credentials are your UL student email and password. If you are new to UL, please ensure you have activated your student email account before accessing the myUL app. Instructions on how to activate your UL student account will be provided by your relevant admitting office in UL. If you need help logging in, please  for support. 

I need assistance setting up the myUL app on my phone. Where can I get support? 

If you need help accessing myUL, please contact ITD.  

For Apple devices, please ensure your device is running iOS 15.1 or later.

Who can access the myUL app? 

All UL staff and students. 

How to access the Student Portal via myUL 

In the myUL app, click on student portal and it will open up the SITS e:Vision Portal. In order to log in to the portal, students must use their ID Number as the username – it is not your email address.  

The password is your standard UL password used to access all IT systems in UL.  

How to navigate Campus Maps 

Go to myUL and click on “Campus Map†

Once opened you will see a list of categories across the top including things like Buildings, Bus Stops, Sports facilities and many more. To see all categories, you can slide across the categories to reveal them.  

Once a category is selected there will be a list  on the bottom of the screen e.g. click on Buildings on the top and on the bottom a list of 32 buildings will show up. You can scroll down through them and select the building you want and the map will move to that building.  

Information on myUL (UL staff) 

Please note that while staff can access all the icons on the app, student centric information such as Timetable information is student specific and will not be populated for staff accounts.

There is an Outlook error message when I access my emails via myUL. What do I do? 

If Outlook displays error messages such as below, please refresh the page via the refresh button (circular arrows at the top of the page), which should reload Outlook correctly.  

How do I rearrange tiles within the App?

Does the Calendar icon display my Outlook Calendar?  

No. The Calendar icon on the bottom of the home page is linked to the timetable only.
