The Irish Judicial Studies Network is a collaborative enterprise bringing together scholars and practitioners working on judicial studies to foster cooperation, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
The aims of the Network are:
- To develop the discipline of Judicial Studies, which involves the study of judges, courts, and judicial decision-making;
- To develop cutting-edge research on the judiciary that has a high policy impact;
- To enable interested academics to engage with the judiciary, to enable the deepening of mutual understanding, to develop research into the judiciary and the judicial system more broadly;
- To organise events promoting discussion about the key role of the judiciary in law and society, addressing key issues facing judges and courts worldwide.
