The Future of Education – Ireland and India. 19th September 2025, conference was held at DCU. 

This event was part of a series of The Global Visioning Conference by MIT World Peace University (UNESCO chaired), India. Topics presented ranged from Transversal Skills Programme, Collaborations with the Global South, Degrees of Change: Globalisation, and the Future Relevance of Higher Education, Challenges and opportunities of AI in Higher Education, Peace, Justice, Inclusivity, and Sustainability, Reimagining Higher Education for Peace and Sustainability, Race, Gender, and Immigrant Students, The Future of Education & Human Rights, Indian Knowledge System. 

Presenters included academics from India and Ireland. Dr Nita Mishra argued for the use of a human rights-based approach for the new social contract on education envisioned by UNESCO foundational principles to ensure it was sustainable for 'all' learners and educators.
