November 17th to 21st is international Geography Awareness Week 2025. This year geographers are focusing on the theme “Making Spaces if Possibility”. Geographers recognise and realise possibilities every day in their work, using their training to spot spatial patterns, convey information in vivid terms, and open up what we can know about places and what we can believe and plan for them. Whether by exploring conservation, community, or the grand geopolitical stage, geographers are there to ask questions, harness ideas, and map the possible (AAG, 2025). On Tuesday 18th Nov UL Geographers will welcome Newport College students to our laboratory to showcase what we do. Then later Tuesday evening at 7pm in Scholars, we are collaborating with UL Environmental Society to host our annual geography themed table quiz. All members of the UL community, staff, students and their friends are welcome to battle it out for who will be the 2025 Geography Table Quiz Champions.
