Staff from REPPP in the School of Law - Helen Fitzgerald, Safe Futures Project Lead and Dr Eoin O’Meara Daly Safe Futures Research Fellow - facilitated a 2-day meeting of the project Core Group members in the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) offices in Lisbon on 19-20 June. The meeting brought together policymakers, academics, and law enforcement agencies from the member countries to discuss the challenges and opportunities for developing interventions for the prevention of recruitment of young people in European Drugs markets. 

The attendees shared insights from Ireland (including Greentown's Catherine Naughton), Northern Ireland, The Netherlands and Sweden. The work of the group will feed into the development of a conceptual framework to inform future innovation and programmes in this area. Find further information about the project.
