Final year BA Journalism and Digital Communication students launched the print version ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Voice on campus Thursday, 14 March marking the culmination of their Limerick Voice project which also includes . At the event, Joe Drennan was honoured by his classmates and by the announcement that a competition in conjunction with the Irish Times would be named after him. The award honours Joe, a fourth-year student who was tragically killed in October 2023. Joe had been the editor-in-chief ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Voice at the time of his passing. Members of Joe’s family were present for the event and written by his co-editor Molly Cantwell featured in the Irish Times.
