Note on Reporting
Brightspace does not provide a single unified course completion report. To check student progress, you may use two tools within the module:
- for topic by topic completion.Located in Admin menu
- for an overview of each student鈥檚 activity and completion status. Located in Class Organisation Menu
Tip: You can also set up Intelligent Agents to automatically notify you (or the student) when certain completion conditions are met.
Note: The Manager Dashboard referenced in some D2L Brightspace documentation is not available in the higher ed version of Brightspace.

Brightspace lets instructors control how learners mark topics as complete, either automatically when a learner views or interacts with the content, or manually when the learner selects the completion checkbox. Settings are applied per content item, and instructors can review completion status to monitor progress.

Brightspace enables instructors to track when a learner has completed an entire course. There are two tracking models available.
Topic based tracking marks a course complete once a student has completed all required topics listed in the Table of Contents.
Release condition based tracking marks a course complete when students meet one or more predefined criteria such as passing a quiz or submitting an assignment.
Please note that the Manager Dashboard, where this tracking is traditionally viewed, is not available in our higher education Brightspace environment.
