The event was fully booked, with over 25 participants from Ireland, Germany, South America, Australia and the UK. Over the two days, attendees engaged in a variety of activities, including talks on implementation determinants, generative artificial intelligence, public and patient involvement, and more.
Day one saw participants enjoy a guided tour ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s history and culture, led by Dr Kevin Volf, including traditional Irish music and dance.
Highlights of Day two included workshops on the measurement of physical activity, physical activity intervention design, and physical activity policy evaluation.
A particular highlight was our keynote speaker, Professor Adrian Bauman from University of Sydney, who delivered an inspiring talk on “Implementation science versus scale-up evaluation – they are not the same.â€
Professor Catherine Woods, UL, who led the organising committee of the Summer School, said: “We were very pleased with the international interest that this year’s Summer School attracted. I would like to thank the participants for joining us, and especially all our presenters who made this Summer School such a success. We hope that events like this will strengthen PAfH’s position at the national level and showcase the excellent research our members are involved in.â€
