The Hub is a student-led platform, developed in collaboration with the HRI team, designed to support and empower HRI postgraduate members.
The hub offers workshops, seminars, resources, and networking opportunities鈥攁ll free of charge and organised each semester to all members.
This member-driven initiative creates a safe, accessible space for emerging health researchers to learn, connect, and grow. Its core aims are to:
1. Explore Key Research Areas
Dive into topics aligned with HRI priorities, including:
- Ageing
- Cancer
- Physical Activity for Health
- Food, Diet and Nutrition
- As well as our Underpinning Areas of Research Excellence
Through in-depth discussions and best-practice workshops.
2. Build Essential Research Skills
Gain practical skills for research capacity and career success, such as:
- Data analysis and management
- Scientific writing and publication
- Grant proposal development
- Implementation science training
- Participatory and arts-based research methods
- Digital technology and advanced data analytics
3. Facilitate Networking
Connect with fellow HRI members and professionals within and beyond the Hub.
4. Provide Peer Support
Share successes, challenges, and learning experiences in an inclusive environment.
