Before starting a placement, students need to have their vetting confirmed by the organisation that did the vetting.

If you're on a UL programme that requires vetting, your Course Director will handle the process for the whole class.

If UL did the vetting for you (for an ad-hoc or Coop placement or project), you can ask your Course Director to give you a signed UL Vetting Confirmation and Placement Agreement Letter. You bring this letter to your placement provider, who signs it and keeps it as proof you鈥檝e been vetted.

If the placement provider did your vetting instead, you'll need to provide them with a Placement Provider Vetting Confirmation and Placement Agreement Letter which they will complete and return to you to submit to the CDV Unit as proof of your vetting.

If you are on a programme with a vetting requirement, you can check your vetting status on the student vetting container on your student portal page.
