What's required before placement?
Before starting placement, UL must either process a vetting application to receive a vetting disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau or receive confirmation from your placement organisation that they have processed your vetting application and received a vetting disclosure.
Next steps
If your programme is on UL’s Vetting Requirement list, or you’ve been asked to be vetted for a Coop or ad-hoc placement, you will find the documents you need in the student vetting process.
Be sure to allow at least 3–6 weeks for processing before your placement starts.
Don't forget your vetting
If your programme or placement requires vetting, it’s a legal requirement, and it’s your responsibility to get it done.
If you don’t complete the vetting process, you won’t be able to start your placement. Also, your enrolment will stay provisional until the vetting process is complete.
