- Passport
- European driving licence (new credit card style only)
- National identity card
- Irish Certificate of Naturalisation
You will need to bring one of the above documents and a photocopy of it to the vetting validation session when you are submitting your documents.
Applicants under 18
You need to provide two documents: one to prove who you are and one to show where you live.
If you鈥檙e under 18 and don鈥檛 have the usual documents, these will be accepted instead:
- Your birth certificate
- Or a written statement from your school principal or an accredited third level institution official that confirms you go there and shows your address
What does the validation process entail?
At the student vetting validation session, the CDV Unit will:
- Check the original photo ID
- Confirm that your photocopy is an exact copy of the original
- Confirm the photo on the ID matches you
- Check that all information on NVB1 form is correctly entered
- Confirm proof of address document is in date and details match the NVB1 form
- Sign and date the form themselves, print their name in capital letters, and add their official stamp or seal
