The Supporting Disabled Parents project will run for a period of seven months and will support professionals to develop the knowledge and skills they need to support disabled parents. We will offer seven live online sessions, which will comprise speakers on a series of key topics, followed by facilitated reflective discussion and shared learning. Topics will include introductions to the social model of disability, language and disability, universal design and implementation science, and, of course, the landscape of disability and parenting services. Check out our website to read more.
Professionals participating will learn directly from disabled parents and disabled professionals at each of these sessions. Participants will also be invited to explore online resources and learning materials available on our webpage. Across the project and at the end of the 7 months, we will invite participants to share their experiences of the project and give us feedback. If you are interested in participating in the Programme,
