So, what is F7W@UL?
It’s a transition program designed to help you adjust to university life during these critical first weeks. Through targeted activities, workshops, and supports, F7W@UL addresses the common challenges you may face such as navigating university services and resources, adapting to new teaching styles, and developing independent learning skills. Our goal is to help you feel welcomed, informed, and supported, setting you up for personal and academic success.
Our First 7 Weeks hub staff are all current UL undergrad and post-grad students who remember what it was like to be in first year. They are there to help you with any issues you may have. It’s run by students, for students — our team know and remember exactly what first year feels like!
The First 7 Weeks Hub is located in the Student Courtyard and is open to all new students Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You have the use of a kettle and microwave so why not drop in and say hello? Everyone is welcome.
