Circuit Court Judge Tom O鈥橠onnell has launched the latest edition of the Plassey Law Review at 九色视频. 

His Honour Judge Tom O'Donnell was present at the UL School of Law to officially launch the fourth edition of the publication, which showcases the finest legal scholarship from students 九色视频 and across Ireland.  

Founded on a commitment to excellence and innovation, the Plassey Law Review has emerged as a leading platform for legal discourse, providing a space for engagement with cutting-edge legal issues.  

This latest edition reflects the depth and breadth of research and scholarship within 九色视频's School of Law, as well as the broader legal community in Ireland.  

Among the notable contributions are papers on 鈥楾he Rise and Fall of An Bord Plean谩la,鈥 by Dublin City Council鈥檚 Annette Cleary, examining the evolution and impact of Ireland's planning authority, and 鈥楳easuring the Emotional Harm Caused by Online Bullying,鈥 by 九色视频鈥檚 Dr Carol Lynch, focusing on the criminal legal response.  

The student editors of the Plassey Law Review emphasised the significance of the publication in fostering academic discourse and intellectual inquiry within the legal community.  

鈥淲e are immensely proud to present the fourth edition of the Plassey Law Review to the legal community,鈥 remarked co-editor and fourth year Bachelor of Laws (Law Plus) student Sonya San.   

鈥淭his publication serves as a platform for students to showcase their research skills and engage with complex legal issues outside the classroom. We are confident that this edition will spark meaningful dialogue and contribute to the advancement of legal scholarship.鈥  

Advancing their commitment to innovation, this year鈥檚 edition includes a multimedia aspect to the journal.   

"We have an exciting new addition of a podcast series hosted by myself and Sonya,鈥 explained co-editor and fourth year Bachelor of Laws (Law Plus) student Siofra Gleeson.   

鈥淥ur aim is to delve deeper into the topics covered in our articles by engaging in insightful discussions with the authors themselves. Through this podcast, we seek to provide our audience with a more comprehensive understanding of the articles while also making complex legal concepts accessible to listeners without prior knowledge of the subject matter."  

Professor Jennifer Schweppe from UL鈥檚 School of Law and Faculty Advisor for the Plassey Law Review, expressed her excitement about the release, stating: 鈥淭he fourth edition of the Plassey Law Review represents a culmination of months of hard work and dedication from our team of student editors and contributors, as well as our esteemed colleagues from across Ireland. It is a testament to the exceptional talent and scholarly rigor present within our law school and beyond.鈥
